Build Mode is the hammer button at the bottom right while you are on your plot. The official site describes walls, roofs, furniture, and basic shapes. A prebuilt from the phone is a finished start you can still edit.
Place the needs first
A pretty shell with no bed, water, or food makes every later shift worse. Place those before you spend the budget on trim.
Paint is the palette along the bottom of Build Mode, or F on a computer. Not every item accepts paint or a material.

These work in Build Mode on a computer. They do not apply to mobile.

Transform Plus, resize, closer placement, and advanced placement depend on the matching game passes. Multiple Floors allows up to 5 floors. Basements allows a basement. Large Plot changes the grid from 30 by 30 to 50 by 50.
Pictures and catalog clothes
Place a frame, walk up to it, and choose a picture from the in-game library. For your own image, upload a decal on Roblox, copy the number from that decal's URL after it passes moderation, and paste it into Change Painting.
Catalog clothing uses the same idea. Copy the number from the item's Roblox URL, open the phone Avatar section, use the plus control, paste the ID, then purchase and wear.
Those numbers are asset IDs. They are not promo codes.
Bulldoze
Bulldoze is permanent for the current house. Open Build Mode, choose the bulldozer, optionally keep items such as a car, then type your Roblox username, not your display name. Purchases refund at 70 percent. Blockbux items return to inventory.
Accounts under 13, or accounts with parental controls that block chat boxes, cannot type the confirm. The same limit blocks plot rename and prebuilt purchase.
Permissions
Click a player or use phone, My Plot, Permissions. Co-owner can build and delete. Do not give that to someone you just met. Guest food theft is a permission setting: My Plot, Permissions, Settings, and turn off taking food. Blocked players are stopped by a barrier around the house.
Sold trophies can be bought again from Build Mode, Decorate, Decorations, Trophies. Legacy trophies cannot.
